Documents Become Dirty

When you perform a scan with the ScanSnap, if documents become dirty, check the following:

Did you scan documents written in lead pencil?

Scanning documents written with a lead pencil may contaminate the rollers.

To prevent the next document that you intend to scan from becoming dirty, perform one of the following:

  • Clean the rollers after scanning documents written in lead pencil.

  • Place a document written in lead pencil in an optional Carrier Sheet and perform a scan.

To prevent the next document that you intend to scan from becoming dirty, clean the rollers after scanning documents written in lead pencil.
