The Document Is Not Fed Smoothly./Paper Jams Occur.

Causes and solutions for documents not being fed smoothly or jamming when using the ScanSnap Cloud service are explained in this section.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The Roller Set is dirty.

  • The Roller Set is worn out.

Solution
  • When the Roller Set is dirty

    Clean the Roller Set.

    For details, refer to Cleaning the Inside of the ScanSnap in ScanSnap Cloud Operation.

  • When the Roller Set may be worn out

    The Roller Set is a consumable part. Although the replacement cycle varies depending on the paper used, it is recommended as a guideline that it should be replaced after every 200,000 sheets scanned, or on an annual basis.

    HINT

    When using ScanSnap Manager, you can check how many times the Roller Set has been used in the [ScanSnap Manager - Check consumable status] window that appears by selecting [Check consumable status] from the Right-Click Menu.
