An Image Cannot Be Converted into a Searchable PDF file.

Causes and solutions for an image that is scanned not being converted into a searchable PDF file when the ScanSnap Cloud service is used are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The number of searchable PDF files that can be created in one month has been exceeded.

  • The profile is not set to create searchable PDF files.

Solution
  • If the number of searchable PDF files that can be created in one month has been exceeded

    Up to 500 pages of searchable PDF files can be created per month.

    You can check the number of pages that can still be created in the [Account information] window.

    Images that could not be converted into searchable PDF files can be converted manually the following month.

    Perform the following to convert each image manually:

    1. Select the image in the scan history list.

    2. Click Searchable PDF on the top right side to enable conversion into a searchable PDF file.

  • If the profile is not set to create searchable PDF files

    Perform the following to change the profile:

    1. Click the [Details] button for the file format in the ScanSnap Cloud Settings window.

    2. Select the [Convert to Searchable PDF] checkbox.
