The issue may be caused by the following:
Because the network was disconnected while firmware is being downloaded, downloading the data failed.
The computer is not connected to the ScanSnap via a USB cable.
A USB 3.0 port on the computer is used.
The ScanSnap is turned off.
- Solution

Connect the computer to the Internet.
Connect the computer and the ScanSnap with a USB cable.
When a USB 3.0 port on the computer is used, change the port used for the cable connection to a USB 2.0 port.
Turn the ScanSnap off and turn it back on.
If you changed the port to a USB 2.0 port, restart the computer after turning off the ScanSnap.
Update the firmware again.
