The [Scan] Button and the Wi-Fi Indicator Do Not Light Up in Purple.

Causes and solutions for the [Scan] button and Wi-Fi indicator not lighting in purple when using the ScanSnap Cloud service are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The ADF paper chute (cover)/feed guide is closed.

  • ScanSnap Manager is running.

  • The ScanSnap is connected to the computer via a USB cable.

  • The ScanSnap is connected to ScanSnap Connect Application.

  • The network that the ScanSnap is on is not connected to the Internet.

Solution
  • When the ADF paper chute (cover)/feed guide is closed

Open the ADF paper chute (cover)/feed guide.

  • When ScanSnap Manager is running

Click the ScanSnap Manager icon while pressing the [control] key, and then select [ScanSnap Cloud] from the menu that appears. Doing this gives priority to the communication with the ScanSnap Cloud service.

Note that [ScanSnap Cloud] is not displayed if the latest version of ScanSnap Manager is not used. If this is the case, disconnect the USB cable that is used to connect the ScanSnap to the computer.

  • When the ScanSnap is connected to a computer via a USB cable

    Disconnect the USB cable.

  • When the ScanSnap is connected to ScanSnap Connect Application

    Exit ScanSnap Connect Application.

  • When the network that the ScanSnap is on is not connected to the Internet

Connect the ScanSnap to a network that can be connected to the Internet.
