Vertical Streaks Appear in the Image.

Causes and solutions for when vertical streaks (such as red, blue, yellow, green, black, and white) appear in the image when using ScanSnap to scan a document are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The rollers or glass inside the ScanSnap are dirty.

  • There is foreign matter inside the ScanSnap.

Solution

  • When the rollers or glass inside the ScanSnap are dirty

    Clean the inside of the ScanSnap.

  • When there is foreign matter inside the ScanSnap

    Perform the following:

    1. Remove the document from the feed guide.

    2. Open the top cover and the output guide.

      Opening the Top Cover

    3. Clear any foreign matter from the inside of the ScanSnap.

    4. Close the top cover and the output guide.
