Failed to Update the Firmware.

Causes and solutions for when a firmware update fails during the ScanSnap Cloud application setup are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • Because the network was disconnected while firmware is being downloaded, downloading the data failed.

  • The computer is not connected to the ScanSnap via a USB cable.

  • The ScanSnap is turned off.

Solution
  1. Connect the computer to the Internet.

  2. Connect the computer and the ScanSnap with a USB cable.

  3. Turn the ScanSnap off and turn it back on.

    If the power is not turned off even after the feed guide is closed, press the [Scan/Stop] button and the WPS button simultaneously with the feed guide closed. The ScanSnap is forced to turn off.

  4. Update the firmware again.
