The [Scan/Stop] Button Was Lit in Orange during a Scan.

Causes and solutions for the [Scan/Stop] button lighting in orange during a scan when using the ScanSnap Cloud service are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • A document was jammed in the ScanSnap, or scanning a document longer than the maximum document length supported by the ScanSnap (863 mm) was attempted.

  • The top cover opened.

  • A communication error occurred.

Solution
  • When a document was jammed in the ScanSnap, or scanning a document longer than 863 mm was attempted

Remove the jammed document or the long document, and scan a document shorter than 863 mm in length.

For details about the procedure to remove a document, refer to Paper jam.

  • When the top cover opened

    Close the top cover.

For details, refer to Top cover open.

  • When none of the above applies
