The ScanSnap Is Not Detected

Causes and solutions for when the ScanSnap is not detected during the ScanSnap Cloud application setup are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The ScanSnap is turned off.

  • The privacy separator function of the wireless access point is enabled.

    Depending on the wireless access point such as a mobile router, the privacy separator function of the wireless access point may be enabled.

  • The list is not showing the latest information.

    Depending on when the list is displayed, the ScanSnap to be used may not be detected.

Solution

Check the following items, and then try again:

  • When the ScanSnap is turned off

    Turn the power on.

  • When the privacy separator function of the wireless access point is enabled

    Disable the function.

    If you cannot change the setting, contact the manufacturer.

    To check whether the wireless access point is equipped with a privacy separator function or to check how to configure the settings, refer to your wireless access point manual.

  • The list is not showing the latest information.

    The list is updated automatically. Wait for a while.

If the ScanSnap is still not detected after a retry, go back to the screen for selecting the connection method, and select [Choose a wireless network].
