The ScanSnap Is Not Displayed in the Mobile Device's Wi-Fi Setting When Entered Directly

Causes and solutions for when the ScanSnap is not displayed in the mobile device's Wi-Fi setting during the ScanSnap Cloud application setup are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The ScanSnap is turned off.

  • The remaining battery power is low.

  • The ScanSnap is connected to a different wireless access point.

If the Wi-Fi indicator is lit in blue, the ScanSnap may be connected to a different wireless access point.

  • The ScanSnap settings have been changed.

The SSID of the ScanSnap may have been changed, or the SSID notification may be disabled.

Solution
  • When the ScanSnap is turned off

Turn on the ScanSnap by holding down the [Scan/Stop] button on the ScanSnap.

  • When the remaining battery power is low

If the [Scan/Stop] button does not light up in blue even when the power is on, the remaining battery may be low. Charge the battery by connecting the ScanSnap to the computer using a USB cable.

  • When the ScanSnap is connected to a different wireless access point

    Perform the following:

    1. Turn off the ScanSnap.

    2. Turn on the ScanSnap by holding down the [Scan/Stop] button on the ScanSnap.

  • When the ScanSnap settings have been changed

Start the ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool on your computer, and check the current SSID and SSID notification settings in [Direct connection setting]. If the SSID notification setting has been disabled, enable it and then continue the setup in the ScanSnap Cloud application.
