Failed to Update the Firmware

Causes and solutions for when a firmware update fails during the ScanSnap Cloud application setup are explained below.
Cause

If the wireless network environment is unstable, downloading firmware data to the ScanSnap may fail.

Solution

If you have a computer, connect the ScanSnap to the computer via a USB cable and update the firmware following one of the ways below.

When you use a USB cable, even if the network environment is unstable, no error occurs because firmware data is transferred to the ScanSnap via the USB cable.

  • When ScanSnap Home is used on the computer

Update the firmware by using ScanSnap Home.

  • When ScanSnap Home is not used on the computer

Update the firmware by using the ScanSnap Cloud application for computers.

If you cannot update the firmware by using the computer, try to update the firmware by using the mobile device again.

Check that the [Scan/Stop] button is lit in blue, place the wireless access point, the ScanSnap, and the mobile device as closely to each other as possible, and then try again.
