The [Scan/Stop] Button and the Wi-Fi Indicator Do Not Light Up in Purple

Causes and solutions for the [Scan/Stop] button and Wi-Fi indicator not lighting in purple when using the ScanSnap Cloud service are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The ADF paper chute (cover)/feed guide is closed.

  • The ScanSnap is connected to ScanSnap Manager on the computer.

  • The ScanSnap is connected to ScanSnap Connect Application.

  • The network that the ScanSnap is on is not connected to the Internet.

  • The ScanSnap that you intend to use is not correctly registered with the ScanSnap Cloud service.

Solution
  • When the ADF paper chute (cover)/feed guide is closed

    Open the ADF paper chute (cover)/feed guide.

  • When the ScanSnap is connected to ScanSnap Manager on a computer

    Change the settings so that the communication with the ScanSnap Cloud service is given priority. For details, refer to Both the ScanSnap Cloud Service and ScanSnap Manager Are Available for Use.

  • When the ScanSnap is connected to ScanSnap Connect Application

    Exit ScanSnap Connect Application.

  • When the network that the ScanSnap is on is not connected to the Internet

    Connect the ScanSnap to a network that can be connected to the Internet.

  • When the ScanSnap that you intend to use is not correctly registered with the ScanSnap Cloud service

    Use the ScanSnap Cloud application to add the ScanSnap that you intend to use.

    HINT

    Even if the ScanSnap that you intend to use is displayed in the [Add or remove scanner] screen of the ScanSnap Cloud application, add the ScanSnap anyway.
