A Photo Is Not Taken Automatically

Causes and solutions for when the ScanSnap Cloud application's camera function does not take a photo automatically even when the mode is set to automatic photo-taking mode are explained below.
Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • You tried to take a photo of a document that is not rectangular in shape.

  • The document that you took a photo of is folded or curled.

  • The document that you took a photo of is tilted

  • The color of the document that you took a photo of is similar to the color of the background that the document is placed on.

Solution

  • When the document is not rectangular in shape

    A photo of a document that is not rectangular in shape cannot be taken.

    Take a photo manually and then correct the crop area if necessary.

  • When the document that you took a photo of is folded and curled

    Smooth out the document and take a photo of it.

  • When the document that you took a photo of is tilted

    Place the document correctly and take a photo of it.

  • When the color of the document that you took a photo of is similar to the color of the background that the document is placed on

    Take a photo of the document on a place where the color is different from the color of the document.

    Or, take a photo manually and then correct the crop area if necessary.
