Scanning Documents Longer Than the Standard Size Such as Receipts

Documents that are longer than the standard size (over 360 mm/14 in.) such as receipts can be scanned with the ScanSnap.

For details about documents that can be scanned, refer to here in the ScanSnap Help.

ATTENTION
  • Scanning long page documents is only available for U-turn Scan, in which a document is loaded in the ADF paper chute (cover) and scanned.

  • To scan a long page document, select [Normal] or [Better] for [Image quality] in the [Scan settings] screen.

When you have selected [Save by document type] in the [Select cloud storage services] screen, select [Normal] or [Better] for [Image quality] in [Documents] in the [Scan settings] screen.

  • When you hold down the [Scan] button on the ScanSnap for 3 seconds or longer to scan a long page document, the scanned image will be saved as "Documents" regardless of the type of document that is scanned even if you have selected [Save by document type] in the [Select cloud storage services] screen. In addition, you cannot change the document type of the scanned image.

  1. Hold the right side of the ADF paper chute (cover) of the ScanSnap then open it to turn the power on.

Open the ADF paper chute (cover) fully so that the [Scan] button lights up in blue.

When the ADF paper chute (cover) is opened, the extension will rise automatically.

Load the document face-up and top-first with its front facing you. Hold the document with your hand so that it does not fall out of the ADF paper chute (cover).

    ATTENTION

When scanning a long page document, give support to the document in a way that prevents it from being fed skewed into the ScanSnap.

If the document is fed skewed into the ScanSnap, it may be damaged.

    Giving Support to the Document

The [Scan] button flashes in blue while the scanned image is being sent to the ScanSnap Cloud service.

When the scanned image has been sent, the [Scan] button lights up in purple again.

A new scan history is added to the scan history list of the ScanSnap Cloud application by updating the list. For details about the scan history list, refer to Main Screen.

    HINT
