Updating ScanSnap Firmware

If a ScanSnap firmware update is available for a ScanSnap model that is registered with the ScanSnap Cloud service, update the firmware to the latest version.
  1. From the menu bar, click [ScanSnap Cloud] → [Preferences].

    The ScanSnap Cloud settings window appears.

  2. In the [Scanner] tab, select the name of a ScanSnap to update firmware for.
  3. Click the [Update] button.

    A message appears, prompting you to connect the ScanSnap to a computer with a USB cable.

    If an available firmware update does not exist, the [Update] button is grayed out.

  4. Connect the ScanSnap to a computer with a USB cable.
  5. Click the [Next] button.

    A message appears to indicate that the firmware update is available.

  6. Click the [Start update] button.

    The firmware update starts.
