Privacy Policy Introduction

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is meant to help you understand our business’s online and offline privacy practices, including what data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, as well as your rights to your personal information as a consumer. (“PAI”, “Us” or “We”), as well as personal information collected by PAI through other means, including but not limited to, PAI’s products or services, events, programs, or other offerings. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully and take the time to get to know our practices.

Any terms defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) (“CCPA”) shall have the same meaning when used in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information PAI Collects from You

PAI collects personal information ("Personal Information") to provide a more efficient service to all our users and customers.

We collected the following Personal Information within the preceding 12 months in the following ways:

Information you give us. When you submit Personal Information to PAI (i.e., by interacting with our Site and creating an account, making a purchase, submitting a form to register for a promotional event (i.e., contest or giveaway), or subscribing to an email list, etc.), We may collect certain categories of personal information (including sensitive information) for purposes of maintaining our business and to provide you with our products and services. For more information on the categories of personal information we may collect, including how such personal information is used and retained for, please see the charts below.

When you purchase a product from our Site, you may be required to enter your credit card information. Your credit card information may be transmitted to a transaction service provider, and in such case, PAI will NOT store or retain your credit card information.

When you provide us your Personal Information in response to our job postings or employment opportunities. We may collect your first and last name, mailing address, email address, phone number, educational background, employment background, etc. that you provide to us in response to our job postings or employment opportunity listings (including but not limited to, resume and/or other supporting documents).

Personal Information of Business Contacts. We may collect your first and last name, email address, company name, job title, mailing address, phone number, etc. that you provide to us during business-to-business communications or transactions with PAI.

Sensitive Personal Information. The categories of sensitive personal information we may collect are account log-in, password or other credentials allowing access to your account, and consumer’s precise geolocation. We may also collect your social security number, driver's license, state identification card, or passport number at the hiring and onboarding stage for employment opportunities with PAI, as applicable (such as when completing I-9 form). Information we collect from you automatically. By observing your interactions with our product or service, we may indirectly collect from you:

  • Product use data. We may collect data about the features you use, the items you purchase, and the web pages you visit.
  • Device data. We may collect data about your device and the network you use to connect to our products. It includes data about the operating systems and other software that may be installed on your device. It may include IP address, device identifiers (such as the IMEI number for phones), regional and language settings.
  • Personal information through use of cookies, pixels, or other similar technologies. We may collect personal information through your use of our Sites based on your cookie preferences. This may also include any third party published cookies, pixels, or other similar technologies that may exist on our Sites.
  • Error reports and performance data. We may collect data regarding the performance of the products and any problems you experience with them. The Purpose for which Personal Information is Collected

PAI collects and uses Personal Information for two main purposes, to accomplish our business purpose described in this Privacy Policy: (1) to operate, manage, and maintain our business (including improving and personalizing) to provide the services and products we offer; and (2) to send communications about our products, services, or other offerings, including promotional or commercial communications that you have consented to. We may also collect and use Personal Information:

To respond to requests and inquiries. We may collect name, email address, postal address, phone number, company name, position, purchase details, and inquiry details, to respond to requests for sales or product information, support or contact inquiries, event or training registration, downloads, warranties, e-commerce transactions, newsletters, surveys, or contests and sweepstakes. We also use data to diagnose service problems, troubleshoot issues, and provide other customer care and support services. We may use Personal Information collected to continually improve our services and products, including adding new features or capabilities, such as using error reports to improve security features and determining what new features to prioritize. Personal Information is also used to develop aggregate analysis and business intelligence that enable us to operate, protect, make informed decisions, and report on the performance of our business.

As part of the communication connection itself. We may collect certain information your browser provides such as network routing (i.e., IP address, referring URL, domain names, landing page, forward proxy), browser type and locale, web statistics (pages viewed, order, date, time) and a query to see if there are "cookies" previously set by the Site. This is for website statistical analysis, user verification, to facilitate log in, maintain an external application session, or other site navigation procedures. We may use service provider-hosted web analytical services to track and report on visitor behavior on our websites. These services may set a small piece of tracking code that uses PAI domains’ information stored in cookies on storage area in the visitor’s device. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a Web server to store on a Web browser so it can later be read back from that browser. Based on your cookie preferences, this may also include third party published cookies, pixels, or other similar technologies that may exist on our Sites. To access your cookie preferences and opt-out of the use of such third-party developed cookies, pixels, or other similar technologies that may exist on our Sites, click the cookie icon on the footer of our Site.

To engage in transactions or communications. Name, email address, postal address, phone number, company name, position, purchase details, and password (if you register your account on our Site) may be collected and stored as part of the transaction history. We may need to disclose some of this Personal Information with our affiliates, service providers (such as delivery services), in order to accomplish the transaction. We also may use Personal Information we collect to deliver and personalize our communications with you. For example, we may contact you by email or other means to inform you when a service contract will expire, let you know when security updates are available, remind you about items left in your online shopping cart, update you or inquire about a service or repair request, invite you to participate in a survey, or tell you that you need to take action to keep your account active. Each emailed marketing communication will include the option to opt out of receiving certain communications. Our affiliates and service providers are only allowed to use Personal Information disclosed to them to accomplish the transaction and not for any other purposes.

To select content and tailor marketing to user needs. Personal Information collected from site navigation, log files, and forms may be used to display web site content and navigation that is most relevant. Personal Information from purchases, registration and inquiries may be used to provide you with notices of product releases and service developments that address your needs and requirements. Marketing communications are subject to the opt-out/unsubscribe elections as required by applicable law.

To provide information on educational events or relevant programs. We occasionally co-sponsor events with alliance partners that provide services of potential benefit to PAI customers. We may provide information on such events and services to users who have indicated interest in the subject matter or service. However, we do not provide any Personal Information that we may collect in these events, to our event partners.

To power joint sales or product promotions. PAI and its alliance partners may engage in joint events or provide bundled products. Such promotions will always reference the channel or alliance partners involved. Examples could include: joint seminars and sales promotions, jointly developed products and joint announcements. During these events, PAI may collect Personal Information in accordance with our privacy policy. We may have no control over privacy practices of alliance partner(s), so we advise you to review the privacy policies of these alliance partners before providing any Personal Information.

To follow up on your registration for or attendance at a PAI event. Users, who sign up for an event or training session may be contacted to see if any follow up is appropriate. This is in addition to any contact that may be required to confirm payment or provide logistical information and updates related to the conference or training session. Please consult the supplemental privacy statement on the specific conference site for more information.

To address performance and repair issues. On occasion we offer patches and other fixes to software, such as security patches addressing newly discovered vulnerabilities, as well as drivers for hardware. Also, should certain issues arise with hardware of our products at such level that would commonly affect large number of users, we may offer availability of replacement parts hardware repairs to fix such issues. We may communicate the availability of these to registered owners of PAI products or channel partners.

To offer participation in surveys, sweepstakes, or contests. We may provide you with the opportunity to participate in sweepstakes, contests, or surveys on our Site. If you decide to participate, we will request Personal Information such as your name, email, shipping address to notify contest winner and award prizes (if applicable). This Personal Information is also used to send participants an email newsletter with marketing information on new product offerings and services. If applicable, we may collect additional Personal Information to confirm your eligibility for a prize. We may use a service provider to conduct these surveys, sweepstakes, or contests on our behalf; such service providers are prohibited from using Personal Information for any other purpose than to provide the services on our behalf.

To engage service providers to perform services on our behalf. Subject to any applicable privacy laws, we will put in place reasonable restrictions to maintain proper use and security of your Personal Information by such service providers. This includes putting measures in place that prohibits our service providers from using your personal information for any other purpose outside the services performed on our behalf.

To manage your job application. We may collect, store, and use your Personal Information (including any Sensitive Personal Information) that You submit in response to our job postings or employment opportunity listings, in order to process your job application. We may also use your Personal Information to contact you regarding the application process and provide you with any additional information as needed.

To conduct business with your company. We may collect, store, and use your Personal Information provided to us by You during business-to-business communications or transactions with PAI.

Referral Service. We may provide functionality for you to send, as a one-time email, a page, product information or job opportunity to a friend. We do not retain any Personal Information gathered in this transaction.

No Sale of Personal Information

We have not “sold” any consumers’ Personal Information in the preceding 12 months.

Sharing of Personal Information

Depending on your cookie preferences, we may have shared Personal Information with certain third party advertising technology providers from your use of our Sites (i.e., through use of third party published cookies, pixels, or other similar technologies that may exist on our Sites) in the preceding 12 months.

To opt-out of the sharing of personal information, you may access your cookie preferences by clicking the cookie icon on the footer of our Site to: (1) disable use of third party advertising/marketing/personalization cookies; and (2) enable opt-out of the sale and/or sharing of your personal information.

Use of Sensitive Personal Information

Our collection and use of sensitive personal information is consistent with the permissible uses under the CCPA. We may use sensitive personal information solely for the following purposes: (1) to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by you who requests those goods or services; (2) to prevent, detect, and investigate security incidents that compromise the availability, authenticity, integrity, or confidentiality of stored or transmitted personal information; (3) to resist malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal actions directed at the business and to prosecute those responsible for those actions; (4) to ensure the physical safety of natural persons; (5) to perform services on behalf of the business; (6) to verify or maintain the quality or safety of a product, service, or device that is owned, manufactured, manufactured for, licensed, or controlled by us, and to improve, upgrade, or enhance the service or device that is owned, manufactured by, manufactured for, licensed, or controlled by us; and (7) to collect or process sensitive personal information where the collection or processing is not for the purpose of inferring characteristics about a consumer.

Children Under 16

We do not knowingly "sell" or "share" the personal information of children under 16.

Reasons We Disclose Personal Data

We may disclose your Personal Information for business purposes among PAI affiliates and our service providers, contractors, and consultants; service providers to permit them to send you marketing communications on behalf of PAI, consistent with your choices; and service providers providing services on our behalf to sponsor contests, surveys or similar promotions, and other service providers to assist us in providing our solutions, services and products to our customers. In these circumstances, We will enter into contractual agreements with service providers to comply with our obligations under applicable privacy laws, and to help ensure your Personal Information is secure and not used outside of the purposes of such services that we receive from service providers. We may also disclose personal data as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or sale of assets. We may display customer reviews or testimonials of satisfied customers on our website. Compliance; Protection

We will access, transfer, disclose, and preserve Personal Information, which may include certain content that you submit to PAI (including but not limited to, reviews, blogs, electronic communications, etc.), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including from law enforcement or other government agencies;
  • protect our customers, for example to prevent spam or attempts to defraud users of our products, or to help prevent the loss of life or serious injury of anyone;
  • operate and maintain the security of our products, including to prevent or stop an attack on our computer systems or networks;
  • protect the rights or property of PAI, including enforcing the terms governing the use of the services;
  • for testing, research, analysis, and product development, including to develop and improve our website, products and services;
  • to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of PAI’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by PAI is among the assets transferred;
  • as described to you when collecting your Personal Information or as otherwise set forth in the CCPA; or
  • to fulfill any other purpose for which You provide it and/or to which You consent.

Your Rights

There are several ways to opt in to or opt out of the use or collection of your Personal Information by PAI.

  1. Prior to, or at the point of collection, you may be informed of such use or collection and you may opt in and consent to submit your Personal Information.
  2. You may choose not to opt in to avoid receiving email marketing communications as part of the registration process.
  3. If you receive a commercial email from PAI, you may follow opt-out/unsubscribe instructions in the commercial email.
  4. You may make a removal request to the point of contact in the section of Contact Information below by identifying specific email communication you received, so that we can remove you from the corresponding contact list.

If you opt out from such use or collection of your Personal Information, PAI will remove you from its contact lists and/or take other steps so that your Personal Information is no longer used by our service providers for marketing purposes. You may still receive other communications, such as for support, patches or warranty updates.

California Residents Personal Information Rights

If you are a California resident, you may also request that we:

  1. (1) Disclose to you the following information covering the 12 months preceding your request:
    • The categories of Personal Information we collected about you and the categories of sources from which we collected such Personal Information;
    • The specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you;
    • The business or commercial purpose for collecting Personal Information about you;
    • The categories of Personal Information about you that we otherwise shared or disclosed, and the categories of service providers with whom we shared or to whom we disclosed such Personal Information (if applicable).
  2. (2) Delete Personal Information we collected from you.
    You may have the right to request that PAI delete your Personal Information that we have collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.
  3. (3) Correct inaccurate Personal Information we collected about you.
    You have the right to request that PAI correct any inaccurate Personal Information We may hold about You. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct inaccurate Personal Information, taking into the account the nature of the personal information and the purpose for our processing.
  4. (4) Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.
    If We “sell” or “share” personal information, You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of such personal information. Note that PAI has not sold any personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months.
    Depending on your cookie preferences, we may have shared Personal Information with certain third party advertising technology providers from your use of our Sites (i.e., through use of third party published cookies, pixels, or other similar technologies that may exist on our Sites) in the preceding 12 months.
    To opt-out of the use of such third-party developed cookies, pixels, or other similar technologies that may exist on our Sites, you may access your cookie preferences by clicking the cookie icon on the footer of our Site.
    To Exercise Your Rights:
    To exercise your privacy rights, please inquire to the contact in the section of Contact Information below. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. In this process, you may be asked to verify your identifying information (such as your name, email address, company that you are associated with, etc.) to authenticate your formal request under applicable privacy laws.
    If you use an authorized agent to submit a request to exercise your right to request for the disclosures or your right to request deletion, you must provide the agent with written authorization to do so. In addition, you may be required to verify your own identity with PAI. PAI may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf. If you provide an authorized agent with power of attorney pursuant to California Probate Code sections 4000 to 4465, such requirements will not apply and we will respond to any request from such authorized agent in accordance with CCPA or other applicable privacy laws.
    You have the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under any applicable law.

Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information

Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your Personal Information where necessary and as required by applicable law. As part of our services, we may have other ways to update your Personal Information or to delete it — unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your Personal Information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

Unless otherwise prohibited by law, We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).

We aim to maintain our services in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Because of this, after you delete Personal Information from our services, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove Personal Information from our backup systems.

You may also set your browser to block all cookies, including cookies associated with our services, or to indicate when a cookie is being set by us.

Data Retention

At minimum, we will retain your information for as long as needed to fulfil the order, provide you services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:

We take our security matters seriously and strive to store the Personal Data that we collect, store, process, and use, securely and safely. As such, We have in place commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your Personal Information against misuse or unauthorized access to the data we collect and store. This may include firewalls, encryption, passwords and password updates, and limiting access to designated personnel.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please check back frequently. If we make material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will put a clear and conspicuous notice on our home page may provide You with written notice of such changes.
