  • A modification has been made which enables users to install ScanSnap Home and ScanSnap Manager on the same computer by using the installer for each software. Scanned images that are created with ScanSnap Manager can be saved and managed in ScanSnap Home. (License activation for the scanner which supports ScanSnap Home is required in order to use ScanSnap Home.)

Improvements

  • Modifications have been made to the procedure for configuring the initial settings for the ScanSnap and the procedure for establishing a connection between the ScanSnap and ScanSnap Home, which enable users to set up the ScanSnap easily. It is also possible for users to configure the Wi-Fi settings for ScanSnap iX1500 after the initial settings configuration is complete. You can do this by clicking [Wireless setup] that is in the [Scanner] tab under [Preferences] in ScanSnap Home.
  • A modification has been made which enables users to start performing a scan quickly by syncing the profile that is selected on a computer with the touch screen of ScanSnap iX1500 automatically.
  • A modification has been made so that the Quick Menu is displayed when a scan is performed with a ScanSnap model that is not equipped with a touch screen, such as ScanSnap iX500 or ScanSnap iX100, right after the scanner is set up, by setting [Quick Menu] as the default profile to be selected right after the setup is complete.
  • A modification has been made which enables users to view a content data record quickly after a scan is performed, by speeding up the time it takes to display the content data record since the content data record is saved in ScanSnap Home.
  • The interval for users to be notified when new firmware becomes available has been changed from 24 hours to one week.

Corrected issues

  • Fixed the problem that occurs when text recognition is performed on a document with checkered patterns, causing the performance in progress to end abnormally.
  • Fixed the problem that occurs when text recognition is performed on a date in the Japanese calendar format, which is marked with a frame in a scanned image of a receipt, converting the date to a date in the Western calendar format, which is different from the date in the Japanese calendar format, because the date is not recognized correctly.
  • Fixed the problem that may occur when the document type for a PDF file that was not created with the ScanSnap is changed, causing an error.

Modifications from 1.0.20 to 1.0.30

  • Modified to convert the PDF keywords to "Memo" when the ScanSnap Organizer data is converted.
  • Fixed the problem that occurs when the home directory in your system has been changed, preventing the program from operating properly which leads to the "An error occurred while processing the images." message being displayed.
  • Fixed the problem that occurs when book image corrections are made, preventing the program from operating properly which leads to the "A parameter error occurred." message being displayed.
  • Fixed the problem that occurs when the cloud mode is switched to the local mode while ScanSnap is being used via Wi-Fi, preventing ScanSnap from being connected to Wi-Fi automatically.
  • Fixed the problem that occurs when information on business cards or receipts is modified, preventing the assistance function for modifying meta information from working correctly when the information includes any symbols or is returned to a character string prior to modification.
  • Modified to support version 11 of the ScanSnap SDK interface.
  • Other miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements have been done.

  • Fixed the problem that occurs when using ScanSnap Home in a proxy environment, preventing the user from receiving a notification after performing a scan to send a scanned image to ScanSnap Cloud.
  • Fixed the problem that occurs when starting ScanSnap Home, which sometimes displays "An unexpected error occurred".
  • Fixed the problem that occurs when a web browser other than Safari is set, preventing the window of ScanSnap Home from becoming active after a service is selected and authenticated.
  • Other miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements have been done.
