Paper jammed or the maximum scannable length has been exceeded. Open the ADF top section and remove the document. Select Manual Feeding scan when you scan a document larger than 360 mm (14.17 in.).

Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • Paper jam occurred inside iX1600 or iX1500.

  • You tried to scan a long page document (a document longer than the standard size).

Solution

Perform the following:

  • Open the ADF top section of iX1600 or iX1500 to remove the document remaining in the ADF.

  • To scan a long page document with iX1600 or iX1500, set [Manual Feeding Scan] for [Feed] under [Scanning] in [Profile].
