Connecting to the ScanSnap Automatically
When you start up ScanSnap Connect Application, it searches the same network for the ScanSnap, and automatically connects to the detected ScanSnap.
Once the connection is established, the name of the connected ScanSnap is displayed for [Connect to] in the [Settings] screen.
If there is only one available destination, the result will be one of the following:
iX1600/iX1500/iX1300
If you are connecting to the ScanSnap for the first time, a message for checking the name and connection of the scanner appears.
When you select the name of the ScanSnap, your device is connected to the ScanSnap.
If you have connected to the ScanSnap before, your device is connected automatically using the same settings as the last time.
iX500/iX100
If you are connecting to the ScanSnap for the first time, or if the password has been changed since the last time it was connected, the [Enter Password] screen appears.
When you enter the password that you have set with ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool, connection to the ScanSnap is established.
If you have connected to the ScanSnap before, it will be connected automatically using the same password as the last time.
If there is more than one available destination, the result will be one of the following:
When the last connected ScanSnap is detected
You will automatically be connected to the last connected ScanSnap.
When the last connected ScanSnap is not detected
The following message appears.
If available ScanSnap is not detected, the [Connect] button appears on the [File List] screen or the folder screen with the ScanSnap Sync function set to on.
To establish a connection with the ScanSnap automatically, tap the [Connect] button.
When you tap the [Connect] button, a search is performed again within the same network.
You will be connected to the ScanSnap automatically only when [Automatic connect] is set to on for [Connection] in System Preferences for ScanSnap Connect Application.
