[An internal error is detected] is displayed on the touch panel of the ScanSnap, check the following.

Is the latest firmware applied to the ScanSnap?

Refer to Updating the Firmware in ScanSnap Home and update the firmware of the ScanSnap to the latest version.

Are the latest updates applied to ScanSnap Home?

Refer to To Update the Software and update ScanSnap Home to the latest.

Have you imported a profile which is created using the latest version of ScanSnap Home?

If you import a profile which is created using the latest version of ScanSnap Home to an older version of ScanSnap Home, an error message will be displayed and the ScanSnap may not be able to connect to the computer.

If a blank colored profile icon Blank Colored Icon is displayed in the profile list in the scan window of ScanSnap Home, change the profile icon in the following procedure.

The color of the profile icon varies depending on the settings specified by each user who uses the ScanSnap.

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Select a profile with a blank colored icon in the profile list.

  3. Click Edit Profiles to display the [Edit profiles] window.

  4. Click the profile icon under [Profile name].

  5. From the icons displayed in the [Icon selection] window, select an icon that you want to use.

  1. Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. Select a profile with a blank colored icon in the profile list.

  3. Click Edit Profiles to display the [Edit profiles] window.

  4. Click the profile icon under [Profile name].

  5. From the icons displayed in the [Icon selection] window, select an icon that you want to use.
