When you install ScanSnap Home, if a "You do not have write authority for the data storage folder." message is displayed, check the following:

Is write authority granted to the data storage folder?

Write authority is required for the data storage folder which you specify when you install ScanSnap Home.

Open the data storage folder which is displayed in the message window, check whether you can copy a file that you want, and save the file to this folder.

If you cannot save the file to the folder because an error is displayed, grant write authority to the folder.

Did you set a data storage folder to an external disk?

If you set a data storage folder which you specify when you install ScanSnap Home, to an external disk, the write-protect switch for the external disk needs to be turned OFF.

If the write-protect switch is turned on, turn off the switch and then install ScanSnap Home again.

Did you set a network folder for a data storage folder?

If you want to set a network folder for a data storage folder that you specify when performing the installation, you need to make the network folder accessible in advance.

Establish a connection with the network folder from your computer just once in order to make the network folder accessible, and then perform the installation again.
