The installation may have failed because a folder or file cannot be accessed. Install ScanSnap Home again after performing the following:

  • Check if you have access permission for the folder or file

    • In the case that the path which is displayed in the main window is for a folder

When you open File Explorer to open the folder, if a "You don't currently have permission to access this folder. Click Continue to permanently get access to this folder." message is displayed, click the [Continue] button so that you will be able to access the folder, and then install ScanSnap Home again.

If you can open the folder without any problems, check whether you can copy and save a file to this folder. If you cannot save the file to the folder because of an error, obtain write authority to the folder, and then install ScanSnap Home again.

    • In the case that the path which is displayed in the main window is for a file

Obtain permission for deleting a file, to the file, and delete the file. Then, install ScanSnap Home again.

Note that, depending on the security software application, the error may not be solved because some of the security software applications may not be able to be stopped completely. In that case, perform a clean boot on your computer, and install ScanSnap Home.
