The Scanned Image Is Created in a Double-Page Spread
If a double-page spread image is created from a document scanned with the ScanSnap, check the following:
- When scanning with [Manual scan] set in the feed mode setting
Have you selected the [Merge both sides of an image] checkbox in the scan settings?
If you are performing a scan using a profile other than the profile that is linked with a cloud service by using ScanSnap Cloud, clear the [Merge both sides of an image] checkbox in the following procedure, and then try scanning again.
Try scanning again after clearing the [Merge both sides of an image] checkbox in the following procedure:

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Option] button for [Feed] to display the [Feed option] window.
Click the [Option] button for [Manual Feeder] in [Feed mode setting] to display the [Feed option] window.
Clear the [Merge both sides of an image] checkbox.

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Option] button for [Feed] to display the [Feed option] window.
Click the [Option] button for [Manual Feeder] in [Feed mode setting] to display the [Feed option] window.
Clear the [Merge both sides of an image] checkbox.
- When scanning with the Carrier Sheet
- Also, check the following when scanning with the Carrier Sheet:
Have you selected [Duplex] in the scan settings?
Change the scan settings to [Simplex] in the following procedure, and then scan documents again.
On the touch panel of the ScanSnap, select the profile that you are using from the profile list in the home screen.
Press the scanning side setting icon and change the scanning side to [Simplex].
If you change the scan settings on the touch panel and scan a document, after it is scanned, the scan settings will return back to the settings before any changes are made. If you want to scan documents under the same settings all the time, the scan settings need to be saved as a profile.
Have you selected [one double-page spread image] in the scan settings?
Change the setting to [two separate images (front and back)] in the following procedure, and then scan documents again.

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Option] button for [Feed] to display the [Feed option] window.
Click the [Option] button for [Manual Feeder] in [Feed mode setting] to display the [Feed option] window.
Click the [Carrier sheet] button to display the [Carrier Sheet settings] window.
Select [two separate images (front and back)] for [Save as].

Click the [Scan] button at the top of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.
If the main window is not already displayed, click the [ScanSnap Home] icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.
Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.
Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.

Click the [Option] button for [Feed] to display the [Feed option] window.
Click the [Option] button for [Manual Feeder] in [Feed mode setting] to display the [Feed option] window.
