A "Failed to access ScanSnap Cloud." Message Is Displayed on the Touch Panel

After you select a profile that is configured to link with a cloud service by using ScanSnap Cloud, and press the [Scan] button on the touch panel, if a "Failed to access ScanSnap Cloud." message is displayed, refer to the following, and update the firmware of the ScanSnap.

  • When you are using ScanSnap Home

    Updating the Firmware in ScanSnap Home

  • When you are using the ScanSnap Cloud application

    ScanSnap Cloud Help

    In the top page of the ScanSnap Cloud Help, click the [Operation] icon and enter "Firmware update" in the input field to search for the procedure for updating the firmware.

If the problem still persists even though you have updated the firmware of the ScanSnap, take appropriate measures to solve the problem in accordance with the message that is displayed.

The ScanSnap may not be connected to the network.

If a message related to the ScanSnap Cloud account settings, Wi-Fi settings, or a ScanSnap account is displayed

  • Check whether the ScanSnap is connected to a wireless access point

    If the ScanSnap is not connected to a wireless access point properly, refer to The ScanSnap and the Computer Cannot Be Connected via Wi-Fi and take measures accordingly.

  • Check whether you have signed in with a ScanSnap account.

    To use ScanSnap Cloud, you need to sign in to ScanSnap Home with a ScanSnap account.

  • Connect the ScanSnap to the ScanSnap Cloud server by using the ScanSnap Cloud application which is installed on a mobile device

    Use the ScanSnap Cloud application to register the ScanSnap to ScanSnap Cloud.
