Notification E-mail with the Confirmation Code or for Resetting the Password Is Garbled (Windows)

If the notification e-mail with the confirmation code or for resetting the password is garbled when you register a ScanSnap account, check the following:

Is Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7 used to view the e-mail?

If you use Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7 to view e-mail with the destination domain of "@outlook.jp", the e-mail shows garbled characters.

It is recommended to configure settings on the latest version of Internet Explorer.

If you cannot use the latest version of Internet Explorer, perform the following:

  1. On Internet Explorer, select [Tools] [Internet Options] [General] tab.

  2. Click the [Accessibility] button to display the [Accessibility] window.

  3. Select the [Ignore font styles specified on webpages] checkbox.

  4. Click the [OK] button to close the [Internet Options] window.
