Using the ScanSnap with a Mobile Device

Connecting the ScanSnap to a mobile device allows you to save an image of a document that you scanned with the ScanSnap directly to the mobile device.

In addition, if you connect the ScanSnap to the ScanSnap Cloud server, you can save an image of a document that you scanned with the ScanSnap in a cloud service that you desire via the ScanSnap Cloud server. The image that you saved can be viewed on your mobile device.

When saving scanned images directly to a mobile device

Use ScanSnap Connect Application to connect the ScanSnap to a mobile device, and save scanned images directly to the mobile device.

Install ScanSnap Connect Application in the following procedure.

  • To connect the ScanSnap and a mobile device, you need to connect the ScanSnap and the mobile device to the same wireless access point.

    To connect the ScanSnap to a wireless access point, you need to set up the ScanSnap so that it can be used with ScanSnap Home in advance. Refer to Let's Get Started to set up the ScanSnap, and connect the ScanSnap to a wireless access point.

  1. Install ScanSnap Connect Application on your mobile device.

    Download ScanSnap Connect Application from one of the following application stores, depending on your mobile device.

    • App Store

    • Google Play

    • Amazon Appstore

  2. Start up ScanSnap Connect Application.

    Perform operations while following the instructions on the window.

To display the Basic Operation Guide (Mobile Connection) on your mobile device, start up ScanSnap Connect Application on the device, and tap the [Information] button (iOS)/Menu (Android) the [Help] button in the [File List] screen of ScanSnap Connect Application.

When saving scanned images to a cloud service

Use the ScanSnap Cloud application when you save scanned images to a cloud service by using your mobile device.
