Converting a Scanned Image to a Searchable PDF File (When Using ScanSnap Cloud)
When an image is in a PDF format, it can be converted to a searchable PDF file by performing text recognition on the text.

Windows
- Display the Main Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud) of ScanSnap Home.
- Click
, which is displayed next to the [Scan] button in the upper left of the main window, in order to switch the view of the main window.
- In the Content Data Record List View (When Using ScanSnap Cloud), select a content data record with an image to be converted to a searchable PDF file.
If you convert multiple images to searchable PDF files, hold down the [Ctrl] key or [Shift] key and select the content data records with the images.
- Select [Convert to Searchable PDF] in the menu that appears when you right-click the selected content data record.
Text on an image are recognized and a searchable PDF file is saved.
Mac OS
- Display the Main Window (When Using ScanSnap Cloud) of ScanSnap Home.
Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon
in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.
- Click

- In the Content Data Record List View (When Using ScanSnap Cloud), select a content data record with an image to be converted to a searchable PDF file.
If you convert multiple images to searchable PDF files, hold down the [command
] key or [Shift] key and select the content data records with the images.
- Select [Convert to Searchable PDF] in the menu that appears when you click the content data records while holding down the [control] key on the keyboard.
Text on an image are recognized and a searchable PDF file is saved.
