Converting Content Data Records into Searchable Ones
If you did not perform text recognition when scanning a document or if you perform text recognition after changing the language settings for text recognition, you can perform text recognition again to convert content data records into searchable ones with ScanSnap Home.
When the document type of an image is [Documents] and the file format of an image is PDF, the image can be converted into a searchable PDF file by performing text recognition on the text. The number of pages for a searchable PDF file is unlimited.
Only images of documents that you scanned with the ScanSnap can be converted into searchable content data records.
Even if the images in a PDF format are created by scanning documents with the ScanSnap, the PDF files cannot be converted into searchable ones if the following is set in the PDF files.
