Correcting the Document Orientation

After scanning a document, correct the orientation of a scanned image that is skewed or upside-down.

  1. Scan a document.

    For details about how to scan a document, refer to How to Scan Documents.

  2. In the [ScanSnap Home - Image scanning and file saving] window of ScanSnap Home, select [Crop and save flat document images as-is], and then click the [Check/Correct] button.
  3. Select a scanned image to correct the orientation of the image in [Cropped image] in the [ScanSnap Home - View cropped images] window.
  4. Correct the orientation of scanned images.
    • When rotating a document clockwise or counterclockwise by 90 degrees

      Click Counterclockwise or Clockwise.

    • When tilting a crop frame little by little

      • Click Rotate 0.5 degrees CCW or Rotate 0.5 degrees CW.

      • Drag the green operating point that appears on the crop frame.

  5. Click the [Save and Exit] button.
    HINT
    • If the [Next] button is displayed, clear the [Continue with Point Retouch] checkbox. The [Next] button changes to the [Save and Exit] button.

The orientation of a scanned image is corrected and the image is saved.

  1. Scan a document.

  2. In the [ScanSnap Home - Image scanning and file saving] window of ScanSnap Home, select [Flat document], and then click the [Check/Correct] button.
  3. Select a scanned image to correct the orientation of the image in the list of scanned images in the [ScanSnap Home - View cropped images] window.
  4. Correct the orientation of a scanned image.
    • When rotating a document clockwise or counterclockwise by 90 degrees

      Click Counterclockwise or Clockwise.

    • When tilting a crop frame little by little

      • Click Rotate 0.5 degrees CCW or Rotate 0.5 degrees CW.

      • Drag the green operating point that appears on the crop frame.

  5. Click the [Save and Exit] button.

The orientation of a scanned image is corrected and the image is saved.
