Adding an Application That You Want to Run

In addition to the applications that are provided in ScanSnap Home by default, up to 10 applications of your choice can be added depending on the way you intend to use content data records.

For the added applications, you can change the settings such as the display name and the file format that you want an application to run in, or delete some settings.

Windows

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    For details, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Select [Settings] in the menu [Preferences] to display the preferences window.
  3. Click the [Add or Remove] button in [Application list] in the [Application] tab to display the [Application settings] window.
  4. Click the [Add] button to display the [Application settings] window.
  5. Click the [Browse] button in [Application path] to display the [Select application] window.
  6. Select the executable file (*.exe) for an application to be added and click the [Open] button.
  7. Specify [Display name] for the application to be added.
  8. In [Available file format], set a file format that you want the selected application to run in.
  9. Click the [OK] button to close the [Application settings] window and the [Application settings] window.
  10. Click the [OK] button to close the preferences window.

An application that you want to run is added.

You can run the added application from the following:

HINT
  • You can add an application that you want to run by selecting [Add or Remove] in [Send to] in the [Add new profile] window or the [Edit profiles] window.

  • To change the settings for the added application or remove the application, select the application in [Available applications list] in the [Application settings] window, and then click the [Set] button or the [Remove] button.

Mac OS

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

    Click the [ScanSnap Home] icon ScanSnap Home Icon in the application list that appears when you click Launchpad in the Dock.

  2. Select [ScanSnap Home] on the menu bar [Preferences] to display the preferences window.
  3. Click the [Add or Remove] button in [Application list] in the [Application] tab to display the [Application settings] window.
  4. Click the [Add] button to display the [Application settings] window.
  5. Click the [Browse] button in [Application path] to display the window for selecting an application that you intend to add.
  6. Select the executable file (*.app) for an application to be added and click the [Open] button.
  7. Specify [Display name] for the application to be added.
  8. In [Available file format], set a file format that you want the selected application to run in.
  9. Click the [OK] button to close the [Application settings] window and the [Application settings] window.
  10. Click Close at the upper left of the window to close the preferences window.

An application that you want to run is added.

You can run the added application from the following:

  • [Send to] in the [Add new profile] Window and the [Edit profiles] Window

  • Quick Menu

  • [Send to] in the menu that appears when you click the content data record while holding down the [control] key on the keyboard in the main window.

HINT
  • You can add an application that you want to run by selecting [Add or Remove] in [Send to] in the [Add new profile] window or the [Edit profiles] window.

  • To change the settings for the added application or remove the application, select the application in [Available applications list] in the [Application settings] window, and then click the [Set] button or the [Remove] button.
