Main Screen

The main screen appears when the ScanSnap Cloud application starts. The main screen allows you to view the scan history, start the cloud storage service from the scan history, and start the camera function.

The main screen consists of the following items:

Navigation Menu

Tapping this shows the following items:

Scan history list

Shows all scan histories.

Each scan history is shown in chronological order, the most recent first.

To refresh the list, swipe down on the screen.

Scanning error list

Shows only the scan histories that are in a state of error. For the scan histories that are in a state of error, Error is shown for the thumbnail.

Settings

The [Settings] screen for the ScanSnap Cloud application appears.

Use this screen to configure the ScanSnap Cloud application settings.

Help

Shows how to use ScanSnap Cloud.

ALL Button

Shows all scan histories.

The history includes scan histories that are in a state of error and scan histories of images that were scanned with [Always save to same service] set to on in the [Select cloud storage services] screen.

Document Button

Shows the scan histories of scanned images that are sorted as a document.

Business Card Button

Shows the scan histories of scanned images that are sorted as a business card.

Receipt Button

Shows the scan histories of scanned images that are sorted as a receipt.

Photo Button

Shows the scan histories of scanned images that are sorted as a photo.

Multiple Select Button

Tapping this button allows you to select multiple scanned images and then delete them all at once.

Camera Button

Tapping this button switches the screen to the photo-taking mode of the camera function.

HINT

If Camera Button is not shown, enable the use of the camera function from the [Camera settings] Screen. For details, refer to Changing the Settings of the Camera Function.

Scan History

Scan History

Scan history is kept for two weeks after scanning.

1. Thumbnail

A thumbnail of a scanned image is shown.

2. File name

A file name is shown.

If an error occurs, this field is left blank.

3. Date and time

The date and time when a scan was performed is shown.

4. Document type

If you set [Save by document type] to on in the [Select cloud storage services] screen, document type is automatically selected for an image. A document type icon appears for the image when the document type is set for the image.

There are four types of icons shown below:

  • Documents (Documents)

  • Business cards (Business cards)

  • Receipts (Receipts)

  • Photos (Photos)

5. Searchable PDF

If a document is scanned with [Convert to Searchable PDF] set to on, Searchable PDF is shown in the scan history.

If the conversion to a searchable PDF file fails, or if a document is scanned with [Convert to Searchable PDF] set to off, this field is left blank.

6. Number of pages

The number of pages of an image is shown.

7. Button for opening an image with a cloud storage service

Tapping this button starts an application for the cloud storage service.

A name of the cloud storage service is displayed as a button name, which the image is saved in. For example, when you use Dropbox as a cloud storage service, this button becomes the [Open Dropbox] button.

If a relevant application for the cloud storage service is not installed when you tap the button, App Store starts up.

If a cloud storage service has no specific application, a browser opens and the Web page for the cloud storage service appears.

8. Message

A message is shown, indicating the state of a scan history.

If there is no message, this field is left blank.

HINT
  • The scan date is based on the timezone for the mobile device on which you check a scan history.

  • The date added to a file name is based on the timezone for the region that is specified when you create your ScanSnap account.

    You cannot change the timezone after creating an account.

    In addition, if the specified region uses daylight saving time, the time reflects the daylight-saving time changes.
