Scanning Multi-Page Documents Such as Receipts

Multi-page documents such as receipts can be scanned with the ScanSnap and saved as a single scanned image.

When [Name files automatically] is specified in the [File naming rule] Screen, each page is saved separately as a scanned image.

ATTENTION

In some cloud storage services, multi-page documents such as receipts cannot be saved as a single scanned image.

If this is the case, save each document as a separate scanned image.

  1. Tap Navigation Menu on the main screen.

    A navigation bar appears.

  2. Tap [Settings].

    The [Settings] screen appears.

  3. Tap [Select cloud storage services].

    The [Select cloud storage services] screen appears.

  4. Tap [Always save to same service], and select a cloud storage service that supports receipts.
  5. Tap [Back] in the upper left of the screen

  6. Tap [Scan settings].

    The [Scan settings] screen appears.

  7. Tap [Detailed setting].

    The detailed setting screen appears.

  8. Select [PDF] for [File format].
  9. Open the ADF paper chute (cover) of the ScanSnap to turn it on.

  10. Pull out the extension and the stacker on the ADF paper chute (cover).

  11. On the home screen on the touch panel, select [Scan to Cloud] from the profile list.

    If a user icon is displayed in the upper left of the touch panel, press the user icon to display the [Selecting a User] screen and select [All cloud users].

  12. Check that the feed mode setting icon is Continuous Scan.

    If the feed mode setting icon is Normal Scan or Manual Scan, press the icon to display the [Feed mode setting] screen and change the feed mode on the screen.

  13. Load the document in the ADF paper chute (cover).

    Load the document face-down and top-first with its back facing you. Adjust the number of documents so that they do not go beyond Mark That Indicates the Maximum Number of Documents to Be Loaded within the side guides when they are loaded.

  14. Align the side guides with both ends of the document.

    Hold each side guide in the middle to adjust them. Otherwise, the documents may be fed skewed.

  15. Press the [Scan] button on the home screen on the touch panel to scan the document.
  16. After scanning the document you loaded, load the next document in the ADF paper chute (cover).

    Refer to the procedure in steps 13 and 14.

    HINT
    • You can change the feed mode setting by pressing the feed mode setting icon in the lower right of the screen (for confirming whether or not you want to continue scanning).

      When you scan the following documents, change the feed mode setting to [Manual scan]:
      • Documents folded in half

      • Envelopes

      • Documents with sticky notes attached

      • Multi-layered documents such as multipart forms

      • Long page documents such as long receipts

      • Plastic cards

  17. Press the [Scan] button on the screen for continuing a scan.

    Repeat steps 16 and 17 until all documents are scanned.

  18. Press the [Finish] button.

    A new scan history is added to the scan history list of the ScanSnap Cloud application by updating the list. For details about the scan history list, refer to Main Screen.

    HINT

    When a scanned image is sent to the ScanSnap Cloud service or saved in a cloud storage service, a push notification is sent to your mobile device.

  19. On a cloud storage service that supports the scanned document type, check the scanned image to make sure the document was scanned properly.

    Scanned images can be checked on the Detail View Screen of the ScanSnap Cloud application.
