Q Why doesn't the online update start?
A

When you apply fixes while Rack2-Filer Smart related applications are running, online updating cannot be performed.

Details

  • When you start an update from the update notification window that is displayed when Rack2-Filer Smart starts or on the [Online Update] menu that is displayed when the [Help] button in the Rack2-Bookshelf window is clicked, the following message may appear.

  • If Rack2-Filer Smart related applications are running, the message above reappears.

Solutions

Exit the following Rack2-Filer Smart related applications before clicking the [OK] button.

  • Rack2-Filer Smart applications
    Exit the Rack2-Bookshelf window, Rack2-Viewer and Rack2-TempTray.
    If you cannot determine whether applications are running on the desktop, check whether or not the following Rack2-Filer Smart icon is displayed in the Windows taskbar. If this icon is displayed, exit Rack2-Filer Smart.
  • "Scan to Mobile" for ScanSnap Manager or "Rack2 Mobile Link" for Rack2-Filer (only if you are using V1.0L10)
    These applications are displayed in the notification area when they are running. Check whether they are running or not by using the following procedure to exit these applications if they are running.

    <Procedure>
    1. Check whether the following icons are in the notification area of the Windows desktop or not.
      • "Scan to Mobile" for ScanSnap Manager
      • "Rack2 Mobile Link" for Rack2-Filer
    2. Right-click the icon (if displayed) and select the [Exit] menu.
