Connection failed. To connect to the ScanSnap directly, make sure that the ScanSnap is turned on and not being used by another device.

Cause

The issue may be caused by the following:

  • The mobile device failed to connect correctly with iX1600, iX1500, iX500, or iX100 via wireless LAN.

  • ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool is running.

  • The settings screen is opened on the touch panel of iX1600 or iX1500.

  • A scan is being performed from the computer which has been connected to iX1600, iX1500, iX500, or iX100.

  • The profile is being changed with ScanSnap Home on the computer.

Solution

Perform the following:

  • Turn on iX1600, iX1500, iX500, or iX100, and restart ScanSnap Connect Application.

  • Exit ScanSnap Wireless Setup Tool, and then connect to iX500 or iX100 again.

  • Close the settings screen on the touch panel of iX1600 or iX1500.

  • Finish the scan and then try again.

  • Finish changing the profile with ScanSnap Home on the computer.
