Checking the Sync Status of a File or Folder

This section describes a file and a folder that appear in the [Files] screen when the ScanSnap Sync is set to on.
A file that has been synced

Synced appears for a file that has been synced by means of uploading to a cloud service or downloading from a cloud service.

If you tap this, the [Preview] screen appears in which you can view the file.

A file that has not been downloaded

Not Downloaded appears for a file that exists on a cloud service but has not been downloaded.

If you tap this, the [Preview] screen appears and downloading a file starts. When the file is downloaded, the file is opened.

ATTENTION

If the size of a file to be downloaded is large, it may not be downloaded successfully. When this is the case, edit a file to reduce the file size.

A file that exists on the mobile device only

Neither Synced nor Not Downloaded appears if the file exists only on your mobile device and has not been uploaded to a cloud service.

To upload a file to a cloud service manually, refer to the following:

Uploading a File to a Cloud Service Manually

HINT

You can select whether or not a received file is uploaded to a cloud service automatically.

For details, refer to the following:

Uploading a File to a Cloud Service Automatically

A file that is being uploaded

The indicator which shows the uploading status appears for a file that is being uploaded.

After a file is uploaded and the file is synced, Synced appears.

HINT

If an Internet connection is not established but there is a file to be uploaded, [Waiting for uploading] is shown.

Once an Internet connection is established, the file is uploaded to a cloud service.

A folder

Tapping a folder shows files and folders in the folder.

HINT

By using the ScanSnap Sync function, a folder can be displayed in the folder hierarchy that ScanSnap Organizer manages.

A folder cannot be created or moved from ScanSnap Connect Application. To create or move a folder, use ScanSnap Organizer.

Changing a sort order

On the menu that is displayed by tapping Menu Button, tapping [Sort] shows another menu. By selecting an item in the menu, you can change the sort order of files and folders.

You can change the sort order in the menu as follows:

Sort by date

Files and folders are sorted by date in descending order.

HINT

When [Sort by date] is selected, folders are shown in the bottom part of the list.

Sort by name

Files and folders are sorted by name in ascending order.

ATTENTION
  • To sync with a cloud service, an Internet connection must be established.

  • If logging into a cloud service fails, the authentication is performed again. Once login is complete, a cloud service is synced.

  • If you tap the following file or folder without an Internet connection, an error occurs and the file or the folder is not shown.

Establish the Internet connection and tap the file or the folder again.

    • A file that is in a synchronized state but has not been downloaded

    • A folder of which content information is not saved on the mobile device

  • A file other than a PDF file or a file other than a JPEG file including JPEG files that are saved virtually as a single file cannot be downloaded from a cloud service.

  • If a cloud service does not have enough disk space, uploading a file stops. On the next startup of ScanSnap Connect Application, uploading the file is performed again.

HINT

The following file can be uploaded:

  • A file that is scanned and received by using ScanSnap Connect Application

  • A file that is received by using Scan to Mobile
