Q1 How can I import files created with my ScanSnap scanner into Rack2-Filer?
A1 You need to configure some settings in advance to link Rack2-Filer with ScanSnap.
Open ScanSnap Manager's "Scan and Save Settings" window, and select "Rack2-Filer" in the [Application] tab.

Refer to Chapter 5 "Using the ScanSnap with Rack2-Filer" in the included Rack2-Filer User's Guide for more settings related details..
Q2 Can I change scanning settings?
A2 Yes you can. Start up Rack2-Viewer and click on [Settings] to display the [Viewer Settings] window. Go to the [Scanner Insertion] tab in [Viewer Settings] to change scan settings.
Q3 Is there any difference between importing files from either ScanSnap or TWAIN supporting fi-Series scanners, in terms of Rack2-Filer operations?
A3 Yes there is. With ScanSnap, you can import scanned files into Rack2-Filer by pressing the proper scanner button (Note1).
In the case of FUJITSU fi-Series TWAIN supporting scanners, click "Scanner" from the list of icons located on the left hand side of the Rack2-Viewer screen to begin importing scanned files into Rack2-Filer.

The appropriate button to press to import data into Rack2-Filer differs for different ScanSnap models. Please see below for details.
  • ScanSnap S300 / S510 / S500
    Press the "SCAN" button.
  • ScanSnap iX500 / S1500 / S1300i / S1300
    Press the "Scan" button.
  • ScanSnap iX100 / S1100i / S1100
    Press the "Scan/Stop" button.
